Repsol Q2 Well Announcement

On Feb. 15 at approximately 9:00 am, Repsol’s Q2 exploration well experienced a shallow gas kick, while drilling at 2,525 feet. Natural gas is flowing back through the diverter. The Q2 well is located on Alaska’s North Slope, about 75 miles northwest of Deadhorse.

No injuries have been reported. All 76 workers have been evacuated off the rig.
